Joshua has high expectations of his staff. With those high expectations, he goes above and beyond for us and the other departments in our division. He serves as a role model and does exhibit extraordinary behavior. He has taught us to be team players and not only be aware of what is happening in our unit but to be aware of the staffing and acuity challenges in other units. We will take 3 patients and our facilitator will take an assignment to free up staff to help other units. He is very family-oriented. He makes every attempt to help us out with scheduling conflicts. He has gone above and beyond for me with my schedule because of a cancer diagnosis. Joshua will come out of his office and help when the ship is sinking. He does not leave until he knows the unit is in control again. He has brought trust, and compassion back into the SICU. Remember, anyone can love you when the sun is shining. In the storm is where you learn who truly cares for you...... That truly is Joshua at heart.
