Katie is not afraid to have that difficult conversation that needs to be had for the safety of our moms and babies.
Katie has a positive attitude, great teamwork, and is kind to coworkers. I have worked with her for many years and she has shown her commitment to Bryan throughout her time here. I worked a shift with her this past month where she was asked to float to west campus to help. Even though she had a patient assignment on postpartum, she floated without complaining or questioning the charge nurse or house supervisor. She lives out “one team, one purpose” well.

Katie is a caring, loyal, and dependable employee of Bryan for the last 13 or 14 years. I have had the pleasure of working alongside her for 12 of them. She is always willing to step in and help a fellow employee out, especially if they are having a rough day. I have personally seen her advocate for many patients over the years, but especially our new mothers and babies as of late. She goes hard at that extra mile if she feels like any social situation is in question, even if that conversation needs to be done through interpretive services. She is not afraid to have that difficult conversation that needs to be had for the safety of our moms and babies. If she says she is going to do something, she does it and does it well. She is an amazing asset to the Women & Children’s tower and Bryan in general as she has also shown these same qualities on medical/surgical floors in the past. It is an honor to work with such a humble and kind nurse. Katie is a DAISY for us always!
