Jenny is always watching over her patients and advocating for their needs. She is kind and tender with the families of the dying.
I have many stories that reflect Jenny's compassion and excellence in the ICU. Most of the time I worked alongside her as she comforted a person (and even a family overseas via videophone) as the patient was extubated. She honors cultural and spiritual needs as well as ensuring the patient is comfortable at the end of their life (I've seen her rush to get more medication in case of pain). Jenny is always watching over her patients and advocating for their needs. She is kind and tender with the families of the dying. Recently a patient was about to be extubated and Jenny has been speaking daily to the family, her shift was about to end but she verbalized wanting to be the one (RN) present. She knew continuity of care includes the family. Additionally, she was considering the RN about to come on duty who did not have that rapport built with the family. Extubations and deaths are a constant and often challenging in many ways. Jenny is tireless, loving, and skilled. During this COVID pandemic, I view Jenny as a superhero and wish I could send her to a spa!
