Ms. Vicenta is a very experienced nurse. This makes her a very valuable nurse and team member. Mostly her patients will benefit from her professionalism and kind demeanor. Her knowledge, expertise, and willingness to work for her patients make her a gift to every patient. Like my husband, age 97, who came here after a severe stroke. Ms. Vicenta stays cool every time, thorough cleaning of his mouth despite his protests! After she cleaned him up from top to bottom and positioned him where he can rest easier while teasing him or asking him the assessment/progress questions. She isn't discouraged by his grump attitude, she is still friendly and upbeat and encouraging to everyone around, and so very compassionate. I especially appreciated her taking the time to answer all my questions and concerns I have in this new situation for my husband and my family. I value her expertise in working with patients with serious health conditions that will affect everyone in the patient's family.

My husband was improving already today on day 3, after his stroke and she too was so happy about it. I really was at ease, leaving at night and leaving my husband in her care. I could see her watching from her desk behind the window to watch my husband's breathing. When Ms. Vicenta has done all the work to freshen the sheets, and even put different creams on different areas, chapstick, nose balm. In other words, when her patients are pampered, she is satisfied and smiles! When the patients sleep peacefully like a baby, with the best heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, respiratory readings....even if she has to do it again and again in her shift. She remains energetic, friendly, professional, and motivated, the job gets done. Thank you Ms. Vicenta and thank you Methodist Hospital for excellent care. We appreciate it very much.
