Lauren was my day nurse for 3 days. I was immediately struck by how calm, controlled, and compassionate her attention was to all my needs. She is the type of nurse who is proactive and thinks 5 steps ahead for her patients and colleagues. The first night she stayed one hour past her shift to start an IV for me due to complications I had. I was grateful for this because I was in pain and very frustrated. I’ve had multiple procedures completed at Barnes and without a doubt, Lauren is one the most talented nurse you have. She may be early in her career, but that woman is going to go places in this operation with the right mentorship and advancement. You can teach most people a skill, but you can’t teach most folks character, of which Lauren’s is stellar – patient, compassionate, sensible, and a strong patient advocate. Thank you, Lauren!
