We had a gentleman in Orthopedics who is fairly complicated and very ill. He had several appointments during that day and was physically exhausted. One of his appointments was with Deb in Urology. Our office contacted Deb, and she brought all the supplies and the doctor to our office to save the patient time, energy, and pain. This seemingly simple act took Deb a fair amount of work and involved gathering and bringing the supplies, coordinating or shuffling her schedule for the morning and the afternoon, and I’m sure more things than I can think of. The difference this has made for the patient and his wife was huge. Deb’s willingness to go above and beyond to provide the patient the care he needed in a safe way and in a setting that meets his needs is something that should be recognized and commended. Thank you, Deb, for all you do every day – for those things that are recognized and, more importantly, for all the small things that go unnoticed. You truly make the world a better place for our patients.
