Brad is an ICU charge nurse who always responds to rapid responses. He evaluates the patient with great clinical skill and expertise, and he coordinates the team to ensure the patient gets the best care. Brad also ensures the family members are comforted, reassured, and updated. Brad responded to a rapid response in Cath recovery in which the patient was quickly stabilized. He noticed the patient’s wife was visibly upset with the patient’s change in condition. Brad knelt down and comforted the wife, reassuring her that her husband’s condition had stabilized. His quick critical thinking ensures patients get the best outcomes during emergent events, and he also shows great care and compassion to patients and their families. He's smart, compassionate to patients and family members, and a good leader to his team. He doesn't mind helping nurses on other units with skills, etc. Most importantly, he is a fierce patient advocate. Brad is an outstanding, caring, and knowledgeable nurse. He treats you as if you are family and never leaves anything undone. He is a team player, a great educator, and an all-around good person.
