Bonnie treated me like I was very important to her. She held my hand and talked me into not being so scared.
I sadly had two nights in a row that I ended up in the ER. My first night was because I was having a rapid heartbeat and extra beats that wouldn't stop. It was very scary and at my age, I wasn't sure what my heart was doing. The first nurse brought me back to a room and was very kind but then Nurse Bonnie took over.

(This patient was in the hospital at a point when our COVID-19 precautions were very high. Only patients were allowed to be in the ER, family members were not allowed to join them. This can cause added stress for patients.)

Being Covid rules, my daughter couldn't come with me. Bonnie kept talking to me and letting me know what they were doing... Bonnie made me feel justified and important to her.

I ended up back in the ER the next night. I was so glad to see Bonnie was working again. I was a mess, in tears, feeling like I was going to die. It was a horrible feeling... Again, Bonnie treated me like I was very important to her. She held my hand and talked me into not being so scared. I hated that my husband couldn't be with me. Because of the results of my EKG, I was going to be admitted to the hospital overnight.

Bonnie treats her patients like each one is important, I am sure. I can't tell you what a Godsend Bonnie was to me. I left the ER wishing she was going with me. She didn't know me but treated me like family. I hope she knows what she did for me. Please thank her and let her know she is helping more than just with her nursing skills training! Thank you for this chance to share how special she is.
