My husband J and I were sent to the hospital from the MFM Clinic to deliver our 22-week old son C. At our appointment, it was discovered that he no longer had a heartbeat and would be born sleeping. To make matters worse I suffered from high blood pressure which would end up requiring a difficult infusion and also needed blood transfusions. We arrived just in time for the night shift and were assigned Violet as our nurse.

From the start, she greeted us with compassion and grace. She listened to our needs and wants and did everything she could to make us comfortable in a time when we were seriously struggling. She went above and beyond to even add soothing aromatherapy oils and twinkle lights to our room. I am a nurse myself and the care that Violet provided to myself and my husband was better than anything I could have asked for. While managing all my medications and infusions, Violet also rubbed my back and helped me as I was getting sick, and kept our providers in the loop. I was not an easy patient but she never once made me feel anything but the best she could. She also took good care of my husband and made sure to explain everything to him in as much detail as he needed.

Everything we went through was the most difficult roller coaster ride but it was one that I know was made better by Violet. She treated us like family and we will forever be thankful that we got to have her by our side through the hardest journey we have ever been on. Every one of Violet's patients will be lucky to have her as their nurse. We are forever grateful to her and will always be thankful for her. Thank you Violet for going above and beyond.
