I am always thankful when I come to the ED and Sara is here.
I have never been so scared in my life but when the EMS crew brought me in, I heard a soft confident voice say, “we got you.” So much happened - oxygen, IV, and medicine. She kept saying “we will take good care of you.” My heart was pounding and then there were so many people in the room. Her calm and confident voice got me through my first heart attack. I learned her name was Sara, a local girl and she was the charge nurse that day. She made me feel safe and reassured my frightened wife and family that I was in good hands. This nurse saved my life.
