Nurse Jia-ling always keeps the heart of being a nurse at the beginning. She shows the warmest support and caring spirit of nursing to patients and their families. In January 2021, a patient was hospitalized for spinal decompression surgery. She had experienced difficulties getting an IV. Jia-ling knew that getting an IV was a fear of the patients. Even though nurse Jia-ling has expertise in giving IVs, she still completed the IV very carefully and tenderly. The patient was not afraid and was free from pain.

The patient was not accompanied by a family member during the hospitalization, so Nurse Jia-ling took the initiative to assist in cleaning the patient's stool to maintain the patient's daily body cleanliness and physiological needs. After the patient was discharged from the hospital, she wrote a letter to express her gratitude to nurse Jia-ling for her family-like care during her hospitalization.

What is even more commendable was that Jia-ling patiently taught internship nursing students and new nurses the clinical nursing care routine. The patient was moved by everything she did. She is a great preceptor and a role model for colleagues in nursing units!
