Kelsey Coleman is a great nurse who always goes above and beyond for her patients and teammates. Recently, we had a winter storm that affected our areas causing most roads in our visiting territories to be unpassable. Kelsey had one patient who was daily wound care that nobody was able to get to, due to the road conditions. This event happened over a weekend when Kelsey was not working and lingered into the beginning of the week when she was already scheduled for PTO.

Kelsey knew this patient had to be seen as he had no one available to complete his wound care. She worked on the weekend and on her PTO day to make sure this patient was seen, and his wound care was completed. She drove her ATV through the snow, with all of her home health gear to get to this patient to perform his wound care. Kelsey is an amazing nurse and always makes sure that her patients are cared for to the best of her ability.
