I spent the day hovering over her shoulders. I have 9 years of pre/hospital experience, which includes working in one of the highest volume EDs in the Greater Houston area, and let me tell you that Courtney is one of the best RNs I have ever seen. She spent the day caring for her patients, educating me, helping her fellow RNs, caring for families, problem-solving and all the while she had a splendid attitude. She had a smile the whole day; she very rarely sat down, and she helped motivate the others in her area. She was a RN and a unit cheerleader. Over the course of the day, there were several issues that arose that had the potential for negative patient outcomes, but she was able to avoid all of them.
