Whenever Gylwood walked into the room, everyone was always smiling. Gyl always went above and beyond. Gyl was always very kind to my family also and provided to them as they were a patient too, which I loved. I am forever grateful to Gyl because he is one of the best nurses I had.

My son broke his leg needing surgery, which was mentally and physically devastating to him. Once he was admitted from the ER to the Medical-Surgical unit, Gyl was his nurse. Gyl has been his night nurse for the greater portion of our stay, and he was amazing. He made a scared boy smile and feel ok about being in the hospital. Gyl was able to gain my trust as a parent and my sons trust as a patient. Such an important thing to have in healthcare is trust and compassion. I will say we won’t miss staying at the hospital, but we will miss Gyl’s warm, kind soul.

He is truly wonderful at what he does and deserves to be recognized for the amazing work he’s doing. I wanted to let you know how grateful we are to have had Gyl as my son’s nurse while he was in the hospital. Being in the hospital can be scary, very sad, and boring. Gyl is one of the most considerate nurses I've encountered. He always made my son feel confident that he was in good hands. Gyl changed the whole hospital experience for my son.

Gyl, you have a great big heart for the work you do and for the people you help. You are an extraordinary nurse and an awesome human being!
