Hannah cared for me on two of the toughest days for me as a patient and for my wife as my support system. Hannah maintained great communication with us ensuring that all of our questions were answered and concerns addressed. She made MY concerns HER concerns. She spent the extra time to ensure the surgery team, anesthesia team, and hospitalist team each came to my room to answer my questions. She validated my concerns and even waited extra time after her shift to ensure that the surgical resident made it up to see me and speak with me. She was an amazing communicator and updated my wife as best as she could. After being NPO for more than 12 hours, she ensured that I had a tray of food before she left her shift. Hannah made me feel cared for in every way and did not make me feel like a widget during her shift. Even knowing I'd be upset, she did not shy away. I am sure this is true of most people, but I am NOT pleasant when I am upset and even less when I am in pain. I was both and Hannah was by my side. Hannah is in EVERY WAY an EXTRAORDINARY NURSE! Hannah could possibly be the reason I would feel lucky to need care. I have since been discharged, have returned to my family and my job, and I am preparing to enjoy the holidays all because of Hannah and the care I received.
