Lois is always willing to lend a hand or help in any way that she can.
Lois helped me on one of the hardest days in my 8-year nursing career. Although we always work as a team on 6A, I feel Lois went above and beyond and not only helped me make it through the day but she also helped a family grieve. A few weeks ago I had a patient pass who was a DNR however, Lois knew how much the death affected me.

Without being asked or prompted, Lois completely managed the family aspect of the death from calling to inform them, to meeting with them, to meeting with the doctor, to escorting them up and staying while they visited. She knew it would be a very emotionally charged situation due to past visits and still chose to be the support system to that I could re-group.

In a time when we are all busy and probably don't always have the time to be as big of team players as we want to be, Lois is always willing to lend a hand or help in any way that she can. I can't think of anything more valuable while we navigate through a pandemic than a nurse who not only can share her expertise from experience but also who makes the time to help her co-workers.

Thank you for helping me make it through the day, Lois!
