Ms. Brogna was nominated by a patient who noted Talia’s compassion, kindness, and niche for making her patients feel comfortable in one of the most overwhelming moments in their life. Talia takes care of the entire family, keeping everyone informed and treating everyone as if they are her own family, these traits and characteristics can not be taught. They are a part of who Ms. Brogna is.

In thinking about the obstetrics and labor and delivery units she expresses, “The overwhelming joy on family’s faces when they hold their baby for the first time never gets old. But just as much as this unit is typically the happiest in the hospital, it could also be one of the saddest. Being a nurse in this area, I act as an advocate, an educator, a friend, a cheerleader, a consoler, and a caregiver. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to provide these aspects of care to my patients each shift.”
