Entering my mom into the NPH study at AdventHealth was a decision our family considered very carefully. We were concerned about the 3-day process and the invasive nature of the procedure. Even more so, we were worried about having mom be in a strange place with her current dementia level. Our fears were put to rest the moment we met the amazing Vesita, our nurse for 2 days during the study. We can't describe the way that Vesita cared for mom... except Stellar! When Vesita smiles her eyes light up, which you can see even behind the mask. She was very professional and informative with each step of the process and very good at thoroughly explaining any questions we had. The highlight of this angel though is her hands-on care. She is so loving and gentle in her care, talking sweetly to mom the whole time. Her ultimate goal is to do her nurse duties but truly get the issue of "Are you comfortable?" "Do you have pain?" She could tell just by looking at mom that mom was miserable. She used every trick up her nursing sleeve to give mom comfort and peace. This turned out to be an all-day thing for the 2nd day of the study. There were so many good people who blessed us with their care and expertise during mom's stay at AdventHealth. But Vesita definitely was the BEST solace for our family.
