Every unit has its own unique challenges. In the NICU, our challenges are different than any other specialty. We have incredibly high "highs,” and in turn, incredibly low "lows!" In those low moments, the support of colleagues is often the only thing that gets us through the situation. And, in those "high" moments the love and appreciation from those colleagues remind us why we do what we do. Jasmin is the most loving, kind, appreciative, and giving colleague. She is always going out of her way to let her colleagues know what a great job they are doing. She spends time writing the sweetest, most meaningful MVPs to send to her colleagues acknowledging their efforts both large and small. Getting an MVP from her is always a bright spot in my day and she is a bright spot to not only this unit, but to the nursing profession in general. The support that she provides enables her colleagues to have the confidence they need to provide the very best care to their patients. This makes Jasmin truly extraordinary!
