Lizeth stopped by before her shift to say bye to us and to wish us all the best.
From the very start, Lizeth was very attentive and monitored closely. She made sure we were okay, especially Mom. When active labor began, she made sure we knew that we had options. She made us aware that Mom didn't have to remain in bed at all times and that her comfort was her priority. There was a moment when mom had just been checked for dilation by the doctor on the floor who assured us that mom was nowhere ready to give birth and that it was likely that Mom was going to give birth the following day.

One hour later, Mom asked Lizeth to please check her because she felt the need to push. Lizeth not once disregarded Mom and sure enough, Mom was ready to push. But aside from all this, what made Lizeth special from all other RNs is that the following day when we were moved to the Mother/Baby Unit, Lizeth stopped by before her shift to say bye to us and to wish us all the best. That is what patients need and appreciate more than anything, the dedication and the love for your patients!
