I have recently started getting infusions at the infusion center at St. Joe's North and Ruby has been so wonderful. She took my initial call when I was trying to get the infusion set up for the first time, and was able to get it done very quickly, despite it being more difficult because my doctor does not work for BayCare. This time around, there were a lot of problems trying to get my medication for the infusion, causing my scheduled appointment to be canceled. Ruby was a true patient advocate and fought for me to get my medication, which I know took up a good bit of her time and worked everything out so I could continue my needed infusion. Because of this, I was able to get the infusion a day later than the previously scheduled appointment, so I was able to stay on schedule with my infusions. Even when there were issues obtaining the drug on the day of the infusion, she still made sure that the infusion happened that day. She has been so caring and attentive and makes sure I am comfortable when I am at the infusion center. I am so grateful to have her involved in my care. This has been a difficult year for me, and I am so lucky to have someone that is going to fight for me and make sure that I get this essential infusion.
