Janine has been working as a nurse since 1988. Janine's amazing care changed many lives. Janine always goes above and beyond for both her patients and our staff. Especially during the pandemic, when Janine switched to nights and worked extra hours to help out the team. Janine came in to work on other units to help out the nurses who went to higher ratios. Janine makes sure all her patients get out of bed and tries her best to make sure that a patient gets the best possible care. Recently one of the staff members got sick during the middle of the shift. Janine came in and took that assignment to prevent other nurses from going up in ratio. Even though dayshift is the primary shift, there are several instances that I had to call Janine at 6 pm asking for help to come in for a 7 pm shift and Janine always extended her helping hands to help and support the team. I rounded on her patients and always received high praises for Janine's dedication and commitment to her work. "Irreplaceable", "An angel sent from heaven", and "exceptional service" are a few examples.

I admire Janine for her true dedication and work ethic. Cleaning patient toes, clipping their nails, buying clothes for patients who are homeless, and buying food for the team during difficult times are just a few examples that show Janine's love for her work. I learn from Janine every day I work with her. Challenging herself to be kinder every day is one rare quality that you see in Janine. You will see Janine praying with patients and supporting families on her knees. In addition to that, Janine is raising the next generation of nurses as an instructor and goes above and beyond for them. I am blessed to work with Janine.
