For the last 8 weeks, Puggers has been living the good life with Kristine and her family.
Kristine was the primary RN caring for a patient who had been admitted to the hospital with a fractured leg following a car accident. Kristine’s patient lived alone with her dog, Puggers. During her hospitalization, the patient was very worried about what happened to Puggers. She knew that she would be in a cast and not able to bear weight for at least 8 weeks. Since she lived alone that meant going to a rehab center and leaving Puggers in someone else’s care. The problem was that the patient knew her daughter wouldn’t care for Puggers and she didn’t have anyone else. The patient voiced these concerns to Kristine and she responded by telling the patient that she would take in Puggers. Kristine already has a few fur babies of her own and knew that Puggers would fit right in. For the last 8 weeks, Puggers has been living the good life with Kristine and her family. Puggers has been enjoying the company of Kristine’s dogs. Kristine has taken Puggers to visit the patient in rehab and she even cooks for him. That’s right each week Kristine cooks him chicken to supplement his kibble! Kristine has gone above and beyond not only in caring for her patient but in caring for her beloved Puggers. Thank you, Kristine, We are proud to call you one of ours!
