I was/am recovering from a hysterectomy on the 4th floor. It was my first night and I had surgery that morning and was in a lot of pain to go home. So I stayed, however, my spending the night was not planned. Since I was not prepared I didn't bring my meds for my other illnesses, something Elizabeth noticed. I have Fibromyalgia and Synngomelia on top of having had my hysterectomy. So my hands were burning! Elizabeth read my chart and when I commented feeling pain in my arms she immediately became concerned in a way that made me feel validated. She then contacted my doctor and got my prescribed meds approved and written that hour. She truly was an angel. My daughter also spent the night and Elizabeth also provided for her. I could tell I was her main priority but she still ensured my child's comfort. Being a mom and unable to care for myself and watching Elizabeth tend to both of us so kindly made me worry less. My burning sensation lessened and my nerves were tended to. She was truly amazing!
