I would like to nominate Stacy Wilson, RN, at Conway Regional Rehab for the DAISY Award. She is very attentive and genuine toward her patients' needs and situations. There are too many examples to mention, but one that stands out is that a patient was feeling very anxious at night. We would give her medications as ordered and in two hours she would be calling out saying, "I just feel so anxious, can you help me?" I would comfort her the best I could talking to her and repositioning her in the bed. She asked for Stacy by name and said "if I can just see Stacy I know I will feel better." Stacy was working that night and I asked Stacy to go see her. What I witnessed was so amazing, I just stood there watching. She knelt beside the bed somewhat and spoke softly to the patient. She asked her if she could rub her back and make her a cup of tea. The patient drank the tea, they talked for only about five minutes, but the patient was totally fine after that. The patient slept well, and no amount of medication would have made her feel as good as she felt with Stacy's attention. This nurse is truly special and should be recognized for the jewel she is.

Upon working with Stacy she cares for and treats her patients so sweetly. She's sat with some who just wanted to cry because they were scared about their situation, but she stayed and comforted them. She's a remarkable nurse.
