This is hard for me to write because I never expected in this point in my life that I would be doing so. My beloved husband of 32 years, T, was admitted to Mt. Carmel East in January, for something we thought was rather benign and then unexpectedly he was moved to the ICU – where he would pass away only three weeks later. I would like to thank all of the nurses in the ICU for their heroic and tireless work especially, Ethan. Ethan worked valiantly for two days to care for T. But in the end, T could not fight the fight any longer. It was Ethan who called me late in the evening, at home, to tell me I needed to get to the hospital because T was dying. And it was Ethan who told me, by the time I got to the hospital, that T had died. And it was Ethan who consoled me. And it was Ethan who walked me to T’s room. I will never forget how much Ethan did for T. Thank you Ethan for all you did for T. Thank you, Ethan, and all the staff for what you do.
