Chelsie has this calming presence about her that puts us at ease and can make us see things more clearly. She’s straightforward and honest but does so in a very compassionate way.
Chelsie was very personable and attentive to my mother’s needs as well as her family’s needs. She was very influential in helping us through a very difficult time as my mother became very ill throughout her hospital stay and then passed to a better place. We will be forever grateful for her compassion and thoughtfulness.

Chelsie made a special connection with our family and with our grandmother, who was in the ICU for 7 weeks. She was caring, kind, and compassionate. She was real with us and has a great bedside manner. Her personality is wonderful and made interactions special. All of the nurses and staff were wonderful, and we are grateful for them all, but Chelsie warmed our hearts with her care.

My Grandmother has been in the ICU for 7 weeks now. Through her time there, Chelsie has demonstrated what true compassion and care look like. Whatever care my Grandmother needs, Chelsie is there to provide it with a smile on her face. My Gram responds very well to optimism and joy and Chelsie has given that to her each and every time she has been her nurse. As a family member, it’s very hard to leave your loved one with a stranger caring for them. Chelsie no longer feels like a stranger but rather a family member who will provide nothing but the best care for our Grandmother/Mother. My family’s positive experiences with Chelsie go beyond just her care for my Grandmother; she’s also been there for us emotionally. This has been a difficult time for my family; however, Chelsie has this calming presence about her that puts us at ease and can make us see things more clearly. She’s straightforward and honest but does so in a very compassionate way. Through my Grandmother’s 7 week visit to Portsmouth Hospital, we have met a lot of nurses. Chelsie shines, far brighter than any other nurse we have interacted with. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
