It's the small things that make a difference in people's lives, and Nicole did that for us.
My Mom mom was admitted during Covid. It was incredibly hard for our family to not be present during her last few days of life. All of the nurses were calm and extremely helpful. They each took the time to explain what was happening and what we could expect. We called almost every hour to get an update and the nurses never acted like they were bothered by that.

One nurse, Nicole, stood out to our family. She went above and beyond when it was very clear that she was busy. She made us feel like our Mom mom was the only patient she was caring for. When we received approval to go visit her, Nicole made sure that Mom mom looked the best she possibly could, given the circumstances. She gave us time and space to grieve at the bedside, but I knew she was close if we needed her.

After we left, Nicole sent a message to me, asking what her favorite type of music was. As I responded with "country or gospel", I was moved to tears. Nicole put on her favorite calming music to give her the peace she needed to pass on. That one small gesture meant so much to our family. It's the small things that make a difference in people's lives, and Nicole did that for us.

Even if Mom mom didn't know Nicole did that, we did and we're extremely grateful for that small gesture that meant so much to us.
