My son was admitted after surgery. While the care from the entire unit was excellent, the care from Nurse Brody Leis was exceptional. Brody took great care of T many days during his stay here. He was very attentive to his needs and very compassionate. He was so understanding of all of T’s needs and never showed any frustration. Brody was mindful to care for T as a whole person and not just take care of the typical “nursing” duties that one would expect. He provided many a cup of coffee to help relieve the woes of the lengthy liquid diet T was on. He always made sure T was comfortable and that he didn’t need anything else before he left the room. And he was never in a rush!! He treated T as if he was his only patient and he was the most important. Brody also took great care of me as a family member as well. T is developmentally delayed and though he seems to be very on top of things he was not always able to relay to me what the doctors had said while they were rounding in their entirety. Brody was very intentional in sharing with me in detail the information from the doctor’s visits when I was unable to be in attendance. This truly meant a lot to me. If ever either of us are in the hospital again, I would only hope that our care would be just as good as we received during this recent stay. Our team of care from the housekeeping staff, nutritional services, and nurses was outstanding! But, again, Brody truly was a shining star and should be commended for his exemplary service! Thank you!
