I know that Rhonda was an angel in scrubs.
I met Rhonda Billington in the Medical ICU while she was taking care of my wife who was in critical condition and not expected to live the rest of the day. Every time Rhonda would talk to me, she would keep me informed on my wife's condition and always ask if there was anything she could do for me or our family. She would look directly into my eyes with a kind and gentle gaze that communicated genuine love for my wife and care for our whole situation. Each time before she left the room, she would place her hand on my shoulder or back to let me know that she was right there to help us. She would explain what time a doctor was coming to talk to me and ask if I or the family had any questions.

When more of our family arrived at the hospital, instead of shuffling visitors in and out of the room, she just brought more chairs!  Later when the IV pumps were turned off and the ventilator removed, my wife quietly passed to her rest. At that point, I have never been in a hospital room where I felt more of the presence of God, and I believe that Rhonda had a lot to do with that. I know that Rhonda was an angel in scrubs.  She let us stay in the room as long as we needed to say our goodbyes. Thank you to Rhonda and all of the staff in the ICU and the ER who cared for us during the final hours of my wife's life.
