On behalf of my entire family, we want to thank Yeni Cuellar, my wife’s labor & delivery nurse for going above and beyond to take care of our family during this stressful delivery. My wife was diagnosed with cancer and a rare condition that restricted her airway during this pregnancy, making the delivery especially stressful. Yeni showed amazing professionalism in her ability to ensure all doctors were up to speed on the diagnosis and we were up to speed on the plan. This made it much easier for us to focus solely on the delivery and feel comfortable that the right doctors and nurses were in the room at the right time. On top of this, Yeni added a personal touch to our room by decorating it as a Fiesta-themed birthday party. This made an already amazing day truly unforgettable. During the entire delivery, Yeni demonstrated extraordinary nursing skills and the ability to truly understand her patient’s needs with empathy, reminding us why we love BJC so much. After today, we truly could not imagine having a procedure at any other hospital. We will never forget the help we got today and want Yeni to know that her hard work and compassion DO NOT go unnoticed by your patients. Thank you so much. Barnes is lucky to have you!
