Chelsey exemplifies what it means to be a DAISY Nurse in a variety of ways. She does an outstanding job at advocating for her patients to make sure they are receiving the best care possible. Chelsey is very engaged in her work on 7SE. She is always finding more ways to get involved and to make our unit a better place to work. She is a voice for change. When something does not seem quite right, she goes out of her way to find the answer or fix the problem. In addition to taking great care of her patients, Chelsey is an excellent charge nurse, a nurse preceptor, an Epic Superuser, and was recently recognized for being a safety hero.

Chelsey’s peer writes, “Chelsey is a wonderful nurse and charge nurse. She is attentive, thorough, and thoughtful. She is kind and very knowledgeable. She is a good and reliable nurse at night.” Chelsey’s patients have said that she makes them feel safe and well cared for. Not only does she take great care of her patients, but she is also a superb role model for staff, a team player, and is a joy to work with. 7SE is extremely lucky to have her as part of our team!
