Boyd was a wonderful nurse to my father when he was in the hospital. He always cheered my Dad up, had a great sense of humor, and made my Dad feel like he had all the time in the world to help him. He also made sure to get my father out of bed and walk around the floor at the beginning of his shift. At the end of my Dad's hospital stay there were no visitors allowed due to the pandemic. Boyd was my favorite night nurse. I would call at 4:30 a.m. each morning and as he did with my father, he made me feel like he had all of the time in the world to provide me with an update on my father's condition and answer my questions.

My father suffered from delirium for several days and Boyd was patient with me when I asked questions and explained why the delirium was happening. He was compassionate and understanding of my fear of the delirium. I really looked forward to my 4:30 a.m. calls with Boyd for the 4 days he was on the night shift. By the 2nd day, he knew who was calling when he answered at 4:30 a.m. Boyd is a wonderful nurse and should be recognized for his care and patience.
