A hospital stay can be scary. A hospital stay without the company of a loved one can be scarier. Jessica Acuff, a nurse on 7N, went above and beyond trying to contact her patient’s family that was not in the area, spending countless hours attempting to track the family down. Her selfless efforts earned her a DAISY nomination from her coworker, who said “I do not know of any other nurse that would go to the measure Jessica went through.
