We had a patient sent to Bryan West. It became evident through time that she would not survive. During her final hours and afterwards, the support, love, and care she received could not have been more excellent. One of the members of our team was also with the patient and watched Asia take care of her. After the patient had passed, Asia patiently waited for the family to have their time, and then asked if she could begin post mortem care. She gently went about her job and spoke to the family member the entire time telling her what she was doing. Asia lovingly washed her hair, brushed it, and then said something like, “there you go sweet girl. You are ready to go home with Jesus.” Asia provided the most special and loving care we have ever seen. This provided us all at our agency comfort to know she was loved and cared for during and after her life.
