I really do not know where to start when it comes to sharing how grateful I am for David Foust. He was the best! He cared about my wife S and my 3 daughters as a family too. He always asked about the family every time we stayed the night and he even messaged me and my daughters when she passed. He always made sure we had everything we needed to stay with her. He treated my daughter’s mom as if it was his own mom that was in the hospital. He was always gentle and caring with S, she never liked to take medicine but somehow David in his own compassionate way could get her to take it every time. David was gentle, kind, comforting, and attentive to her needs. He made her feel heard. He always went the extra mile. He never rushed her taking her meds, he was very patient. He definitely has a gift to take care of people. When we knew David was her nurse for the shift one of us would send out a group text to share our excitement that he would be her nurse. We created such a bond and relationship that I even called him to check on his Momma when she was sick and he still calls to check on me. I know nursing requires lots of training and education, but compassion and love come not from your head but from your heart. Not only is David a professionally skilled nurse he was compassionate toward my wife and that came from his heart. You never forget the ones who loved the one you love, we will never forget David. He is a true DAISY Nurse.
