Trent was the nurse who came to my husband's room and put in his PICC line. He was very thorough and did an excellent job explaining what he was doing and what he was going to be doing and why. He made sure my husband understood everything. On the day my husband was being discharged Trent saw us in the hall and remembered my husband and asked how the PICC line was doing. He looked at the PICC line and said he would change the bandage before we went home (it had been a few days since the PICC line had been placed). Trent was not even the IV nurse on this day but took the time to change the dressing. It was nice to see someone who cared and took the time to do something extra for a patient. Thank you, Trent! We did truly appreciate you. You made us feel more comfortable with the PICC line and what we needed to do.
