Elizabeth knows it all and I benefited greatly from her knowledge, professionalism, and kindness.
Elizabeth is a true professional: She's kind, efficient, knowledgeable, and cares. I watched her with the gentleman sharing my room who was not the easiest of patients. She took the same time and care with him as she did with me (of course I was the dream patient) and it really impressed me. Her knowledge of everything medical about my situation was incredible. This is probably standard for HSS but I was impressed that she knew so much about my medical history without consulting a computer or a printout. She answered every question and when she thought she should she sent in doc or PA to clarify. On my last day, she came to my room to tell me that my husband was waiting in the car downstairs though my release was not completed. How did she know? She took the time to coordinate my release work, clearly explained what I was to do when I got home, and got me out in I am certain record time which got us to the Upper West Side before the marathon clogged the streets. I think it's so important when going through trauma to have people who are kind and understanding but above all understand the procedure that you've had and all of its follow-up side effects and conditions. Elizabeth knows it all and I benefited greatly from her knowledge, professionalism, and kindness.
