I was brought to St. Clare unresponsive and was not given a good prognosis. I was not able to answer questions asked of me and my body appeared to be shutting down. The ER physician was doing what he could to help keep me alive but had decided that I was probably not going to live and had the staff call my sons so they could be with me at the bedside. Kathy took great care of me and acted as my voice not allowing the physician to give up and let me die. She fought for me when I had no one else and gave me such great care.

When all seemed lost and it appeared as though I was going to die she was at my side and doing all she could to help keep me alive when all of a sudden I woke up confused and unsure where I was. Kathy explained the situation to me and my sons and made sure they were there to comfort me. If it wasn’t for her compassion and excellent care I may not be here today. I want to recognize her wonderful care and for being a wonderful caregiver! She is the definition of a great nurse and I could not be any happier with my care! Thank you! You saved my life!
