Brian had the best bedside manner I think I have ever received. He has the best sense of humor and was able to put a smile on my miserable face more than once
I had a ureteral stent placed for a kidney stone. I was in recovery, I woke up with Brian as my nurse. I thought I was going to wake up to a stone but instead woke up with a stent. I have to return for stone removal. Brian had the best bedside manner I think I have ever received. He has the best sense of humor and was able to put a smile on my miserable face more than once. He kept me calm, I was upset they were unable to get the stone, and comfortable, as I was in a great deal of pain. He was very tuned in with my needs. He listened to me and did everything I asked. I knew I needed to be able to urinate 100 ml of urine before I could go home, and expressed that to him, so he helped me hydrate. I can't complain about the care I received that day from any of my nurses, but Brian did an exceptional job. If it was possible to request specific people for care when I needed it, I would definitely request or recommend Brian. I've had a few rough years with my health and Brian by far surpassed any care I have had thus far.
Brian is the epitome of the term NURSE. I just started my nursing career and I can only hope to be as good of a nurse for my patients as he was for me that day. I mentioned him to the person who called to check on me after my procedure, and they agreed with me about Brian but I would really like for him to be recognized for his outstanding ability in nursing somehow, someway! Thank you for being so good at your job, Brian, you're above and beyond outstanding. I was a little medicated and am extremely regretful that I can only remember this his name is Brian and he didn't know how to put in a ponytail. My hair was in my face and I asked him if he could put a ponytail in for me, he didn't know how but promised to go home and practice on his wife.
