Tracie Rexrode is an incredible nurse with a strong work ethic. Tracie is such a kind and caring nurse. Before becoming a nurse, Tracie was an accountant. Yearning for a more fulfilling career, she chose nursing. Tracie chose wisely- she is exactly the type of nurse that one would want to care for their loved one should the need arise. 

Tracie is a patient advocate. She has empathy and compassion. Tracie goes above and beyond for her patients and families, answering all questions and ensuring a comfort and trust level before the family leaves the unit. 

Tracie is flexible. She works countless hours and is always willing to help. Tracie is a positive role model, respected by her peers and physicians. Aside from her excellent care, Tracie also works well with other departments as is evidenced by the email that follows. Tracie is a rare find, she could have stayed as a corporate accountant with a normal schedule- she opted to rise above and become a great nurse.

We had an air embolism vented patient last week- both Thursday and Friday. A vented patient in HBO is pretty rare and usually a chaotic nightmare but Tracie was the patient's nurse and she was absolutely amazing. I cannot tell you enough how wonderful it is to have the teamwork and cooperation we had working with her. She can also read minds because she had anything and everything we needed or anticipated needing. I'm sure you already know what an asset she is to your unit but I wanted to personally remind you and also thank her again for everything. When we work as a team, as we did with Tracie everything flows as it should and it was just a low-key, no-pressure, great experience for the patient. It really makes a difference and means a lot.
