Had it not been for Sara’s quick action that day, I believe he would be gone.
In August I was with my husband at the outpatient care center for a regular appointment for an antibiotic infusion. He is a cancer patient and had been receiving chemo in Outpatient care up until June. Sarah and all the staff at OCC knew him and treated him very well, so caring. On this particular day, my husband had not been feeling well the night before and his temp was slightly high. Sara knew he was not himself and she also noted his temp was high. She took his temp multiple ways and in no time she was on the phone with the doctor arranging for him to be admitted to the ER. As Sara took K in a wheelchair to the ER, she was literally running to get him there as quickly as possible. I ran with her. My husband has stage 4 cancer and he was septic during this hospital stay - we almost lost him. Had it not been for Sara’s quick action that day, I believe he would be gone. I’m forever grateful to her for helping to save my husband’s life. My husband was able to celebrate another birthday.
