My son was diagnosed with acute heart failure. I arrived at RCHSD with my son who was very sick and my 5-month-old baby girl. I felt like I was living a nightmare. At the time my son's heart was only working about 20%, with him needing a breathing tube. I was told he was so sick he may not survive his upcoming procedure. I was in pieces and a total wreck as I came back to my son's room. I felt so hopeless watching him sedated with a breathing tube. Ashley was very comforting. She patiently listened to my worries, and concerns and would make me feel like everything would be ok. She was very caring not only with me but also with my son. I know it is a job but she does it because she enjoys it. I felt like a person, not just another patient. Thank you, Ashley!
