In the two years Tina has been a leader in our organization, she has done an excellent job of transforming Med-Surg. Tina came into her role during a time of ongoing transition and has worked continuously to level-set the department through brainstorming, growth, improvement, and stability. Her ongoing support has never wavered, even during a global pandemic, as she stood side by side with me to support 3West during a remarkably challenging time. Tina embraces challenges, such as the monoclonal antibody infusions, which she ran to ensure the unit and the staff had all the resources they needed to safely provide this service to our patients needing treatment. Tina has a passion to see nurses on all levels grow within the profession of nursing and has fostered my growth as a nurse leader in many ways. Tina's knowledge of Shared Leadership has been an instrumental component in the creation of the unit-based councils, as well as the growth of many unit staff to participate in developing and owning a nursing practice. As a leader, she brings forward concerns and is quick to help us find an answer or solution to any challenge we are being faced with. Tina is always available, whether it's a staff nurse needing to speak with her or one of her reports. She has improved collaboration and brought together and strengthened interdepartmental relations, under Adult Inpatient Services, which encompassed Med-Surg, ICU, and Wound Care. Tina's engagement with her team is remarkable, as well as the support she has gained for our units, such as an educator for each Med-Surg specialty. Her concern for staff across the organization has been evident in her Caritas Coach practices, by bringing in Tea for the Soul for all departments to take part in.
