I was visiting NJ from out of town and I had to go to Hackensack Hospital for a kidney stone. I am 14 weeks pregnant and the whole thing was a complete nightmare. The ER is a scary place to be right now and I felt alone and in so much pain. When I finally got admitted Sashawn helped calm all my fears. I know she was so busy but she was so calm and collected, I felt like I was her only priority. She called my doctor to finally get orders put in and made me feel taken care of. During a time of crisis, I know how difficult it is to be a floor nurse right now. I wanted to nominate Sashawn because she is nursing like a boss, regardless of the situation. She's smiling and warm, and really that's the root of being an amazing nurse because that's what every scared patient needs. Thank you Sashawn for making a really horrible day, a little bit easier.
