Pauline Headley is currently an Administrative Nursing Supervisor for Sonoma Valley Hospital. She was hired at Sonoma in 2007 as an international contract nurse on the Medical/Surgical ward. At the contract end, she became a Sonoma employee and eventually advanced to the level of Director of Patient Care Services in charge of Medical/Surgical and OB, Labor and Delivery. She was highly regarded and respected by her staff and maintained the highest level of quality and patient experience. Pauline went on to obtain a master’s degree in Nursing Education, a long-desired goal. She left Sonoma to teach at a local college nursing school but eventually found her way back re-entering the organization as a part-time Nursing Supervisor. Sonoma Valley Hospital is blessed to have such a well-respected former clinical leader as a Nursing Supervisor. She understands the issues at the ground level and so commands the respect and the admiration of line staff in all the clinical and ancillary departments. Pauline has the personal integrity that most aspire to; she is a role model in that sense. She has the grace to know when to push staff or to assist them when recognizing their limits have been reached. When Pauline is at the helm, the organization and its people are safely cared for.
