The reason I'm nominating Crystal is that she truly cares. I got checked in because I tried to kill myself. The next day I met Crystal and as soon as she walked into my room the whole room lit up. Her smile and her caring attitude calmed my anxiety right away. On my bad days, she would take the time and sit with me talking to me about anything and everything to get my crazy thinking back on track at hand. I would cry a lot and she would sit with me allowing me to cry but comforting me as well. She would give me my meds and she would tell me what each one was for and how it would help me. She would always check on me and make me laugh. She always took that extra step to look out for me.

Someone could just tell her, "Hey room X is upset again," and she would respond then here she would come. She also would make sure that others knew about my hearing because I'm deaf in both inner ears and I have a hard time hearing, so I read lips and she noted that. I called my nurse, I was so depressed on days she wasn't here. But she is a special kind of Superhero. She always looked out for us all up here on the 6th floor. No matter she would be right here, to provide love and comfort. She is an angel, she is extraordinary. Her heart is pure. She is definitely one of a kind and she loves her job. She's a beautiful soul.
