Courtney is an excellent leader and supervisor for the 10K Neurosurgery floor. She leads by example and always provides the best possible service and care for her patients as well as her employees. She works diligently to create a positive environment for patients, employees, and family members alike. Recently 10K Neurosurgery initiated the Integrated Care Nursing Model to create an environment to help support the overall care for the patient. Courtney has been instrumental in this model's deployment and works tirelessly to reach achieve the highest levels of patient care. She is an outstanding supervisor and a major asset to our team!! Courtney exhibits all the qualities of a DAISY Nurse. She is an excellent leader, leading by example as a Supervisor she not only handles her supervisory role but also assists frontline staff with their duties to lighten their load when available. Her staff has been very vocal about the appreciation of all that she does to support them. Courtney is leading her team through the current pilot program which is not always well received. Her attitude and encouragement play a huge part in the staff’s buy-in towards this new approach to staffing. I’ve seen Courtney at the bedside with patients and she takes her time with each patient. She speaks to them with respect and is mindful of their cognitive state as she is on a Neuro floor and patients are at different cognitive levels. Courtney is a rockstar, I wish we could clone her!
