Ms. Fong is a member of the Core Resus /Trauma team and continues to grow within the Department. She treats every patient as if they were a member of her family. Ensuring the patient remains up to date with their treatment plan and speaking to family when available to provide an update. She advocates for her patients and ensures they are properly cared for in an expedited manner. She goes out of her way to ensure the patient and family are cared for and their needs are met. Ms. Fong is a true patient advocate. She ensures that she is aware of the care plan and advocates for any additional needs that the patient may require. She ensures that the entire healthcare team is “on the same page” and the communication to the family and patient is clear and understood. She is a true team leader and when assuming the role of Charge RN, she exemplifies leadership in all aspects of the patient care and department. She is ensuring the staff are up to date and families' and patients' needs are met. She does this regardless of where she is assigned and always has a positive attitude. I have not met a more selfless RN in my career. Ms. Fong will do everything for the patient, advocating, and escalating any concerns, to ensure the patient's needs are met. She is willing to work in any area at any time and is willing to switch to different areas, without hesitation to support the needs of the department.
