Whitney was an outstanding labor and delivery nurse. This was my third child so I knew what to expect for the most part. I made the decision to get an epidural because of an umbilical cord issue and it was my first time getting one so I was a bit nervous. She was so helpful in describing how things were going to happen and really comforted me with everything. I trusted her from the very start; she suggested when I got the epidural, she held my hand during it, she stayed in the room with me while my husband ran to the car and took a bathroom break, and she told me stories while taking my blood pressure, she laughed with me, she tried so hard to distract me as my contractions peaked, she was absolutely incredible! We waited until delivery to find out the gender and ended up having a boy, whom we named after her. Whitney and I connected on such a level that she will be someone whom I will never forget. I almost cried as she was leaving my mother baby room and I think she was a little sad too. She made an impact during my delivery and I will cherish our time together. She went above and beyond her job description to make sure I was comfortable and I truly appreciate it!
